We haven’t heard a lot from Jesse Paul this year compared to how much coverage he has gotten in the past. It turns out he was just stacking footage for an insane 1-minute video part! Well played Jesse, well played.
The Monday Minute series is always something you shouldn’t miss. This time The House of 1817 takes their cameras once again to Hyland and Trollhaugen. There are too many good local riders to list, but let’s just say you won’t be disappointed by this one.
The first time we saw Garrett McKenzie at a contest, we knew he was going to be one of the best riders coming out of Minnesota. He has proven his talent in the local contests, but thanks to this video edit, we get to see him destroy some street features too. Watch for Garrett to blow up in the next couple of years, trust us on that one.
Afton Alps has been putting much more work into their park this year since being purchased by Vail. Not only do they now have a rope tow, there are tons more features on the hill including a solid jump line. The riders at Afton are throwing down on the new features as shown in this video from Jack Haren.
The Youth Shelter in Saint Cloud has always been a huge asset to the Minnesota snowboard community. They help sponsor tons of contests and also great local riders. Their team is just packed full of good riders which you can tell from this team edit they put together. Next time you are in Saint Cloud, stop by the Youth Shelter and tell them thanks for supporting fun.
