In Minnesota we have been having an unseasonably warm fall so far. This week though, the weather is finally going to take a turn for the cold. The snowboarders may have been upset about the warmth, but wakeskaters such as Dan Prody were pumped to have a bit of an extended season. Check out this quick edit from Dan which puts you in his shoes for a ride.
The wakeskate skills of Mike Roeder always make our jaws drop. There is a reason he won the Amateur Wakeskate portion of the WWA Nationals this year. Just to show you how easy he makes it look, here is a typical day on the lake with Mike.

“The Dirty Muskie” is a wakeskate, winch only, short movie following Minnesota wakeskaters, Mike Roeder and Dan Prody, around Minnesota and Wisconsin. They braved the cold water and even sewage invested winch locations while No.Style Productions put together a great edit. As summer ends and fall arrives we like to think about the snow to come but we can never forget about our great summer on the water. Think back and remember the good times of summer as you watch Mike Roeder and Dan Prody wakeskate down the river while riding behind a well placed winch. Nobody does it quite like these two.
Earlier this year Mike Roeder took his wakeskate to the dead still waters of nothern Minnesota. It may have been a bit cold at the time but it sure didn’t take anything away from his ability to kill it on the wakeskate. I don’t know how he does it, but it looks damn smooth. Check it out.
