Phun Promotions was in town lately and put together a fun event called Minnesota Meltdown. We aren’t quite sure how we never heard about this, but their mix of wakeboarding and snowboarding looks really fun. Winching is definitely bringing some new opportunities all the time. Faction Boardshop rider Jade Whirley has been traveling all over with his newly founded video/photo production company Phun Promotions. Although this video was shot in Texas, it shows you the possibilities if you have a winch! Even if you are broke with no boat, there is always something to ride when you a winching. Ryan Taylor is a very well known photographer around the Twin Cities. You will spot him at most Minnesota events no matter if it is skateboarding, wakeboarding, or snowboarding. I’ve always been blown away by his work with a still camera, but this video truly shows his skills in video editing too. This was filmed on a GoPro HD camera which is actually pretty affordable. FreshTip design is back to put on one of their biggest events ever. This event will be a a 2-pool winch powered rail jam in Minneapolis. Tons of top amateur riders and showcased pros have been invited to the event. The event will start in the afternoon and run until 10pm! That’s right, it’s a whole day of shredding urban style. The after party will be at Cowboy Slims in uptown if you are into “adult beverages.” Come support the industry during a time of recession! The main event will be located in the street on Girard Ave South in between Lake and Lagoon Streets.
