The Haven Productions recently sent us a new edit from last year’s footage at Hyland. It features the riding of Mitch Kirby, Andy Latterner, Hunter Murphy, Tommy Gesme, and Craig Cameron. As always, it is fun watching people shred the Hyland line-up and thinking about the season ahead. Enjoy and let’s hope for colder weather soon!

The genius behind Make Productions, Jake Durham, put together another full snowboard movie this year titled “Time Travel.” As always Jake produced an extremely entertaining video with some of Minnesota’s best local talent. Watch it a couple times and then give Jake a High-Five next time you see him.

Afton Alps has somehow been staying open longer than anybody else in the area. They were open last Saturday in the perfect sunshine and Jerome Kuntz of Jibbing with Jerome was there with his GoPro. Check out what you missed out on while you were sleeping all day. Oh yea, and don’t forget that Afton just announced they will be open again this weekend. Get out there.

If you haven’t heard of Elm Creek before, you owe yourself a favor to check it out. The lift ticket prices are insanely cheap and what could be better than a tow-rope accessed hill full of rails? The place just recently opened for the season and the Rental Shop crew was there to document it for us. Be sure to check the Rental Shop blog for more Elm Creek goodness and some proper methods.

Don’t you wish you would have started riding when you were super young?  Today we introduce to you 10-year-old Alexis Roland who has been snowboarding for 5 years already.  She is from Bloomington Minnesota and is doing a great job of representing the state while she is off competing with people twice her size.  She has been featured in several big name films including Warren Miller’s “Dynasty.” Check out the video and say hi to her sometime at Hyland if you get a chance.

We are all counting down for the onslaught of snow and videos like this only excite us more. This is a montage that St. Cloud based S4L through together. Watch it, love it and pray for snow.

Granite Peak has been raising the bar when it comes to park features in the last year or two. This time they unveiled several new log/pole jib features which will be located in the wooded areas of the resort. This is definitely a first for a Minnesota/Wisconsin resort and I have to tip my hat to them for doing it. Get in your car and drive to that little Wisconsin town of Wausau this season and try them out!

Yet again we have Ryan Paul throwing down at High Cascade, but really does it ever get old? We don’t think so. Go ahead and check out what R.P. and some of the other fellas are dishin out this time from their tough summer on the mountain. (Yeah, we know, it must be rough)
