Real snow in October!

welch101209

I’m sure plenty of you were excited this morning when you woke up to a nice covering of the white stuff.   The couple inches of snow this morning was exactly what we needed to get even more stoked about the new snow season to come.  Get those boards and skis waxed up and keep checking the site to see which resort opens first.  Trollhaugen and Wild Mountain have already started making snow but the forecast doesn’t look great for progress.  Keep your fingers crossed for colder temps and tell those complainers to move somewhere else…  Enjoy the picture of snowy runs courtesy of Welch Village.

Rail Jam Aftermath – Photos and Results

It was a soggy weekend in Minnesota but the rail jams did go on. Trollhaugen Ski Resort and the Fl Project hosted a very early season rail jam and the made the best of the fall weather. The kids were throwing down and often times landing in the dirt. Click the “read more” link below for the results, and also be sure to check out the Photos from the event.

Real Snow is Falling!!!

It feels good to wake up to our first morning of real snow coming from the sky. Many people made it to Wild Mountain when they had the early season one run tease open, but now here comes the real thing. The temps are also supposed to drop this weekend so let’s keep our fingers crossed for some good nights of snowmaking around the state. Keep checking the resort websites and rideMinnesota will definitely let you know who opens first again. Pray for snow!
