It’s fall here in Minnesota, which means snowboarding season is getting near. A true sign of the season coming up is always the many pre-season rail jams which are hosted all around the state. This weekend is a double-header with the Log Jam at Wild Mountain on Saturday and Snowfest at Trollhaugen on Sunday. Get out to these events and be sure to bring some items to donate as these are fundraisers also.
It seemed like everywhere we looked last snowboard season, we saw Clay Hatzenbuhler. Even though he had a messed up arm most of the season, he still achieved podium finishes at almost every event he attended. Well, everybody better be ready for even better riding from Clay next year as it seems summer hasn’t slowed him down. This sure looks a lot cheaper than summer camp at Mount Hood. We’ll leave that choice up to you…
A few of the team riders from Jambox Shred Gear decided to film a session at the little ski hill near Duluth called Mont Du Lac. If you have never been there, it’s about time you pay the fun place a visit. Mont Du Lac has been working hard at improving their park, and you can see by this edit that things are coming together.
Phun Promotions was in town lately and put together a fun event called Minnesota Meltdown. We aren’t quite sure how we never heard about this, but their mix of wakeboarding and snowboarding looks really fun. Winching is definitely bringing some new opportunities all the time. Check out the video and get inspired to do something creative.
The first qualifier of the Bald E-Gal Cup went down at Powder Ridge in early December. We just had a photographer friend of ours Jake Rennaker send over some good photos from the event. Check all the pics out and see if you made it in some of them. Keep an eye out for more rideMN photo albums this year from several events.
