The House Boardshop and Trollhaugen put on a great rail jam on Friday the 13th. It was only fitting that the rail jam would be held at night due to the date. The darkness didn’t stop riders from throwing down which you can see by the video. We also have some results for you.

The Wild Mountain $1000 Rail Jam by Seekjoy Productions was a couple weeks ago, but the fun is still in our minds. We were there taking pictures while the Seekjoy crew was filming some moving images. Check out the highlight video from the event and keep hoping for some real snow soon.

This past weekend was the Wild Mountain $1000 Rail Jam put on by SeekJoy Productions. We were astounded by the turnout of competitors and gawkers alike. From our experience most of these events, while amusing, are best defined as disorganized and bland. This on the other hand had all the elements to be considered more of a spectacle than just an event. Organization, proper setup, huge prizes, DJ spinning the tunes, interesting production, large turnout, quality/entertaining play by play and wonderful weather were all featured and we couldn’t be happier with how SeekJoy put together their first Jam. We tried to get as many photos as possible and hopefully got some of almost all the riders. CHECK THEM OUT HERE, use them wisely and give it up for SeekJoy!

What do you get when you set up a rail jam in downtown Seattle??? Rain. The answer for anything in Seattle always involves rain. Even with only a patch of snow and some nasty drizzling rain Ryan Paul was able to show Washington what the Midwest is all about. He took home 1st place, securing himself an IOU valued at hefty $3000. The University of Minnesota Duluth Snowboard club will be hosting a “Gnarbecue” on Saturday March 27th at Spirit Mountain. There will of course be grilling and riding going on at the same time! The festivities start at 11am and there will also be a rail jam at 1pm in the Damage mini park. The cost for the rail jam is $7 if you pre-register at Damage Boardshop or $10 at the hill. Get out there and ride one more jam!

Summit Boardshop is going to be hosting a new kind of competition in their backyard park.  The contest titled “Crew Wars”  will be a chance for you to put together a crew of riders/skiers that you think can be called the “Dream Team.” Each team must wear distinguishing clothing so it will be a great opportunity to bust out those Gorillas suits. The “wars” will be on January 29th, but make sure you pre-register by January 22nd.  You can register by phone or at Summit’s website.
