Summit Boardshop is going to be hosting a new kind of competition in their backyard park. The contest titled “Crew Wars” will be a chance for you to put together a crew of riders/skiers that you think can be called the “Dream Team.” Each team must wear distinguishing clothing so it will be a great opportunity to bust out those Gorillas suits. The “wars” will be on January 29th, but make sure you pre-register by January 22nd. You can register by phone or at Summit’s website.

The Bald E-Gal cup stop #1 was a huge success thanks to all the sponsors and of course Bald E-Gal itself. Powder Ridge in Kimball, Minnesota hosted the first stop of the series. If you’re ever near Saint Cloud make sure to check the place out. I have to say this is definitely one of the best produced video edits I have seen this year! Way up there on the North Shore, Lutsen Mountains opened a few runs last weekend. They celebrated with a concert and a rail jam sponsored by Damage Boardshop of Duluth. Sorry for the delay in posting the photos from the Joe’s Boardshop Rail Jam. The event was a huge success and everybody that attended walked away with a ton of free swag. There was even a showing by the pro Salomon Snowboard team during the event. I would like to give a big “Thank You” to AJ Miller for the photos from the event. Don’t forget to head out to Saint Paul today (Tuesday Nov. 24th) for the Joe’s Boardshop sale and rail jam. There will be a $15 entry fee if you wish to ride in the jam, but of course it’s free to watch. Also the Salomon pro team will be stopping by for a little meet and greet. The team visiting Minnesota will including Chris Grenier, Jed Andersen, and many others. The rail starts at 6pm but show up early for good deals in the shop.
