It’s that time of the year when the weather starts getting colder and our minds start switching over to snow mode.  Luckily for us, Volcom has decided to provide a free showing tomorrow night (9/8/10) of their latest Snowboard Film “9191” at the Varsity Theater.  The mastermind behind the movie Gigi Ruf will be there signing autographs if you get there early.  So get off your couch and be sure to make it out for a drool session while watching some great snowboarding.

Transworld Snowboarding recently featured Minnesota local Ethan Deiss on their website and viewers are being blown away by his rail skills. Familia Skateshop is always good at coming up with interesting ideas involving the Minnesota skate scene. This time they are holding a small event at the Red Stag Block party involving the famous Red Wave sidewalk feature. Come out and try to win the cash prize.

FreshTip design is back to put on one of their biggest events ever. This event will be a a 2-pool winch powered rail jam in Minneapolis. Tons of top amateur riders and showcased pros have been invited to the event. The event will start in the afternoon and run until 10pm! That’s right, it’s a whole day of shredding urban style. The after party will be at Cowboy Slims in uptown if you are into “adult beverages.” Come support the industry during a time of recession! The main event will be located in the street on Girard Ave South in between Lake and Lagoon Streets.

Head over to the Target Center on April 25th to checkout the Action Sports World Tour which will be making a stop for the first time in Minneapolis. Tickets are available through TicketMaster or at the Target Center Box office. Theory of a Deadman with also be playing as a bonus.

Dedicated to everything snowboarding, Travis Rice and a dream team crew set out on a seek-and-destroy operation for the new zone, the new trick and the new perspective on the sport.
