The FC Midwest Tour made a stop at Andes Tower Hills last weekend. They put on a great event as usual and luckily for us Ryan DeReamer was there to provide a fun video edit. Be sure to make it to the next FC Stop which will be on February 12th at Mount Itasca.
The Wakeworld New Producer Contest results are in and local filmer Ryan Taylor was awarded first place! We would like to say congrats to Ryan and he definitely deserved the win. Ryan won a complete Byerly Wakeboard Package plus a trip to go film Scott Byerley and several other pros in the flesh. We created rideMinnesota for YOU our loyal readers, so now it is time for you to put in your two cents. The site has came a long way since the beginning, but we believe there are always ways to improve. Please tell us what we can do better or what you would like to see more of on the site. Leave your thoughts and possibly feelings in the comments section of this post. The final event of the Summit Boardshop Pro/Am series “ShredaMania” is coming up soon. ShredaMania will be on February 26th at 6pm and the location will be the Summit Backyard Park in Lake Elmo. For this final event there is a $3000 purse to be awarded! There will also be “Free Beer” for all the over-21 people in attendance… Even if you don’t like to watch snowboarding, get out there and support local shops by buying some of their gear that’s on sale!
Summit Boardshop is going to be hosting a new kind of competition in their backyard park. The contest titled “Crew Wars” will be a chance for you to put together a crew of riders/skiers that you think can be called the “Dream Team.” Each team must wear distinguishing clothing so it will be a great opportunity to bust out those Gorillas suits. The “wars” will be on January 29th, but make sure you pre-register by January 22nd. You can register by phone or at Summit’s website.
