Joe Sexton Secures the Ender

The People Crew recently premiered their latest snowboard film “Cheers” in Southern California. Although we are a fair distance from the West Coast, the news has traveled fast that local boy wonder Joe Sexton received the ender in the film! Transworld Snowboarding did a write up on the premier and had the following to say about Joe, “He is really on and earned that last part.” We are very happy to see Joe achieve the prestigious honor of the last part and we like to congratulate him! Pick up a copy of “Cheers” when it hits the shop shelves this fall.

Ryan Taylor Wins the New Producer Contest

The Wakeworld New Producer Contest results are in and local filmer Ryan Taylor was awarded first place! We would like to say congrats to Ryan and he definitely deserved the win. Ryan won a complete Byerly Wakeboard Package plus a trip to go film Scott Byerley and several other pros in the flesh. The last batch of rideMinnesota shirts were popular sellers and we would like to thank everybody for the support! The next generation rideMN shirts are now available and we will be selling them at the Minnesota State Fair. So put down those cheese curds and come check out our shirts which will attract the opposite sex much better than fat fried food. Flow Trash Video Preview

This is the second released promo for “Flow Trash”, a film by Tim Fulton, Philip Schwartz and Pete Spooner. This film looks to deliver with its local footage, great riders and clean filming. The riders include Tabari Cook, Ian Sherman, David Nelson, Casey Copenhaver, Dan Narloch, Dom Randazzo, Cj Tambornino, Pat Gallaher, Tim Huey, David Jamies and Davis Torgerson. Battle at Wizard’s Wedge Video

Familia Skateshop put on the Battle at Wizard’s Wedge contest last weekend. The contest went down during the Red Stag Block party which brought out some great crowds. Familia put on a great contest as always and the skaters got creative on the wedge. Thank you to Kevin Horn for the great video of the event.

Make Friends – Full Movie Friday

Make Productions recently released the local snowboard video titled “Make Friends.” This video is packed full of every local name that straps into a snowboard. I would give you a list of riders, but there are just too many to name. The producer Jake Durham did a great job with this movie and really put his artsy touch on everything. In case you missed the premier of the flick which was held at Cal Surf, we have it here for you to watch in it’s entirety. Thank Jake Durham for it next time you see him.

Granite Peak Teases us with New Park Features

Granite Peak has been raising the bar when it comes to park features in the last year or two. This time they unveiled several new log/pole jib features which will be located in the wooded areas of the resort. This is definitely a first for a Minnesota/Wisconsin resort and I have to tip my hat to them for doing it. Get in your car and drive to that little Wisconsin town of Wausau this season and try them out!

Snowskate Session in the Summit Backyard

The Summit Backyard Park has been getting quite a bit of attention lately from snowboarders and skiers. The thought never really crossed my mind that it could be used with a snowskate also… This group of riders proved the point that it can be done, and it actually looked like a good way to spend a sweaty summer afternoon. At least you don’t have to get your boots all sweaty when you use the snowskate…

SeekJoy Productions Visits the Cable Park

The cable park over at 10k Wakes has been receiving a lot of press lately. This time it is local company SeekJoy Productions who paid the park a visit with a team of their riders. SeekJoy always produces really smooth video edits, and this one is no different. The riding is also buttery smooth with appearances by Josh Tranby, Mike Liddle, and Denver Jordan. Check out the video and be sure to pay 10k Wakes a visit whenever you get a chance!
