The top wake athletes from throughout the United States will converge in Minneapolis this weekend to compete for national titles at the 2011 Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink. The 22nd annual WWA Nationals will be held on the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis off of West River Parkway, in between Plymouth & Broadway Avenue. Make sure to get out and enjoy the event.

10K Wakes Takes the Summer Off

Just in case you haven’t already heard Minnesota’s cable park 10k Wakes is taking the summer off all in the divine search for greener pastures. Looks like they will be moving their facility from New Germany to Blaine. This will be good news to many seeing as how most of the population has never even heard of New Germany much less want to travel there on a regular basis. For all those in need of aquatic thrills this summer you’ll just have peruse the lakes in search of that kind soul with room for one more. 10K is set to open up shop again in 2012.

The Hut Closes its Doors

It’s always sad to see another Skate/Snow shop close it’s doors due to lack of business. Last week, another fell victim to the poor economy. This time it was The Hut Skateshop in Plymouth. Please remember to support your local shred shops as much as you can. They are a vital part of the community and help support this website. The Hut will be missed and let’s not lose any more.
