SnoDice Games on Saturday – Wild Mountain

snoDiceWild09

On this Saturday (Dec. 19th) at 5pm, the FL Project will be sponsoring some games of SnoDice! The games will be at Wild Mountain and it’s only $5 to ride. This is all about FUN and raising some money for the Wild Mountain Snow Park, so head over to Wild this Saturday and roll some dice with the FLP crew and help us raise money for YOUR snow park.  There might even be some goodies being tossed around for those that are involved!  Keep supporting the FL Project whenever possible because they put on great events like this!

Aspen/Snowmass Days at Trollhaugen

aspen-snowmass-giveaway

This weekend Trollhaugen is giving riders a chance to win a 3 night/day Aspen vacation. This includes 3 nights lodging at Stonebridge Inn in Snowmass and two 3-day lift tickets to Aspen Snowmass.  Riders must be at Trollhaugen on Dec 12th or 13th to register.

This sounds like a killer opportunity!

Winter Storm Watch

This week looks to be bringing in some promising snow. NWS is claiming 6-12 inches for the Twin Cities area on Tuesday through Wednesday. Parts further south of the cities, in northern Iowa and southern Wisconsin, have a “blizzard” warning. The forecast is hard to determine since it will gather a good amount of moisture as it moves towards us. We have a 100% chance of getting accumulating snow, it’s just hard to know how much.

Look for more runs opening throughout the week at resorts.

Make sure to pray to the snow gods for that blizzard line to move further north into Minnesota!

1st big weekend for local resorts.

Finally, the Twin Cities area has had some decent enough weather (and even a little natural snow) for local resorts to make some white stuff. This weekend seems to be “the weekend” for local resorts such as Afton, Welch and Buck Hill to open, and a lot of people are excited. This weekend will be many rider’s first time out this season.

Other resorts that have been open, like Wild and Trollhaugen, will have more runs opening. A couple of the rideMinnesota guys are headed to late night Trollhaugen tonight for their 10pm to 3am session for $15.
