It’s fall here in Minnesota, which means snowboarding season is getting near. A true sign of the season coming up is always the many pre-season rail jams which are hosted all around the state. This weekend is a double-header with the Log Jam at Wild Mountain on Saturday and Snowfest at Trollhaugen on Sunday. Get out to these events and be sure to bring some items to donate as these are fundraisers also.
A bunch of Minnesota riders were invited to the Volcom PB&J Rail Jam Finals at Mammoth Mountain. As usual, these riders dominated the competition and took away several podium spots. Some of the major wins were Shane Ruprecht who took first in the Open division with Colin Wilson right behind him in second. Read our full-post for the standings of several other Minnesota riders and to watch the highlight video. Congrats to everybody!!!
The Ashbury Demo was pure madness when it came here to Minnesota, but everybody put on quite the show. The demo tour has made its final stop at Bear Mountain and several Minnesota riders made an appearance. Watch as Danimals, Jake OE, Jonas, and Joe Sexton get in some serious spring shred. Thanks to VGSnow.com for the great edit.
Minnesota riders have been doing extremely well in nationwide contests over the last couple years. Recently, a group of local riders made their way out to Colorado for the So-Gnar Shred Circuit Finals. Just like normal, a couple of those riders walked away with podium finishes. Congrats to Jesse Paul for his 1st place victory and also to Clay Hatzenbuhler who was right behind him in 2nd!
The Snowrider Classic is one of those events that you should never miss. The Youth Shelter has been doing this contest forever and it still gets better every time. Just take a little peek at this Bald E-Gal edit from Powder Ridge that day and you will see what you missed.
